Basketball Recap: Cedar Creek Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Cedar Creek won the last time they faced Navarro, and Kenji Franklin did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cedar Creek Eagles breezed by the Navarro Vikings to the tune of 72-45 on Friday thanks in part to Franklin, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Cedar Creek's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Baker, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave him a new career-high.

Cedar Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-14 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.3 points. As for Navarro, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Cedar Creek and Navarro could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Cedar Creek will take on McCallum at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 326 places (531 vs. 205). Similarly, Navarro (ranked 1090th) will meet Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin (ranked 529th) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
