Cedar Creek had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Gonzales Apaches on Monday as the Cedar Creek Eagles made off with a 15-4 win. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Creek will take on Waco in a tournament on Thursday. As for Gonzales, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Smithville at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
