Millers Creek Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cam Layaou, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Layaou is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Heath, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Millers Creek Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for West Wilkes, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Community Baptist and Millers Creek Christian are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for West Wilkes, they will head out on the road to face off against Surry Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Surry Central will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
