The Seminole Chieftains will head out on the road to face off against the Ada Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Seminole will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 281st, while Ada is ranked 65th).
Last Friday, Seminole beat Stroud 51-42. The win was just what Seminole needed coming off of a 74-40 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, even though Tuttle scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Ada still came out on top. Ada strolled past Tuttle with points to spare, taking the game 73-59.
Ada's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devon Maccollister, who scored 20 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Keith Cook, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Seminole is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season. As for Ada, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Seminole lost to Ada on the road by a decisive 61-46 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Seminole avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
