After losing to the Summit Tigers the last time they met, the Grand Junction Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Grand Junction came out on top against Summit by a score of 37-27 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Grand Junction.
Grand Junction's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Koen Wright led the charge by scoring six points along with four steals. Will Applegate was another key contributor, scoring six points.
When it comes to explaining why Summit lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hank Chabot. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with three steals.
Grand Junction's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Summit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
