The Huntland Hornets's 20-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Community by a score of 50-47. Huntland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Community's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Haskins, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. The matchup was Haskins' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Yoes, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Huntland's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Community, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntland's road trip will continue as they head out to face Culleoka at 6:00 p.m. on December 4th. Community and Eagleville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Eagleville is ranked 109th, while Community is ranked 89th).
