This season hasn't been kind to the Thornwell Saints, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 52-4 loss at the hands of Ware Shoals. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Thornwell has scored all season.
Ware Shoals got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Stella Eichorn out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Eichorn has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Reyes Romero, who scored nine points.
Thornwell's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.3 points per game. As for Ware Shoals, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornwell will challenge Calhoun Falls Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ware Shoals, they will head out on the road to take on Dixie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixie will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
