After a string of three wins, Wayne Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were beaten by the Simpson Academy Cougars 67-33. The Jaguars were probably out for revenge after losing 54-23 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wayne Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Simpson Academy, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Wayne Academy will take on Park Place Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Simpson Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Joseph Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th.
