The Lamar Raiders will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Rossville Christian Academy Wolves at 7:45 p.m. on February 7th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Lamar was able to grind out a solid win over the Jaguars, taking the game 54-46. The victory was just what Lamar needed coming off of a 67-38 loss in their prior contest.
Salone Elliott was his usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with six assists and three steals. Jonathan Hart was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Rossville Christian Academy strolled past the Volunteers with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 68-50. Given Rossville Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 34th in Tennessee, while the Volunteers are ranked 182nd in Mississippi), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lamar is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-16 record this season. As for Rossville Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.
