Last Thursday, everything came up roses for KIPP San Jose Collegiate against Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit as the squad secured a 69-29 victory. The Wolfpack have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Christian Ademe-Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Mendoza, who posted 11 points and eight steals.
KIPP San Jose Collegiate smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Liberty Baptist came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 58-46.
Liberty Baptist's win came from a few key players KIPP San Jose Collegiate will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Caden Marshall, who earned 20 points. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Burkholder, who had 13 points.
Liberty Baptist has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Tuesday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Ademe-Johnson and Marshall. Ademe-Johnson has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 15.8 points, 3.4 steals, and 11.1 boards. For his part, Marshall has averaged 16.5 points.
Everything came up roses for KIPP San Jose Collegiate against Liberty Baptist in their previous matchup back in February of 2018, as the team secured an 81-33 victory.
