The Furlow Charter School Falcons suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 81-6 loss at the hands of Lamar County. Furlow Charter School was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-4.
Lamar County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makayla Watts out in front who scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watts has scored all season. Ella Bleu Leverett was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds.
Furlow Charter School bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lamar County, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.
Furlow Charter School will be playing at home against Crisp Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar County, Lamar County and Temple will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Temple is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
