Among those leading the charge was Ansley Hicks, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Reese Holman was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Nease saw an underclassman step up: Abilgail Robinson scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Owens, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Paxon School For Advanced Studies and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Nease, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-7-1 record last season and are now at 1-2.
Paxon School For Advanced Studies will be playing at home against Oakleaf at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nease, they will head out on the road to face off against Middleburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
