After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monarch, the Fairview Knights were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 54-41 win over Erie. That's another feather in the cap for Fairview, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Spencer Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with seven steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Foster, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Christopher Smith and Marco Martinez certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Smith scored 16 points along with six rebounds, while Martinez scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Fairview is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Erie, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview and the Red Wolves will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Loveland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three games. As for Erie, they and the Panthers will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Boulder focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
