Milford's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on St. Anne with a sharp 14-0 win. That looming 14-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bearcats yet this season.

Kami Muehling made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. Muehling was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Lucht, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Madisyn Laffoon was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Milford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin came out on top against North Vermillion on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Falcons.
Like Milford, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin also got a great game from a two-way player: Eva Ronto. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Ronto has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Draycee Nelson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Gentry Elson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Milford's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
