On Friday, Ayden - Grifton got the W thanks in part to EJ Ruffin playing the best football he has all season. Ruffin rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made nine total tackles and defended a pass.

On Friday, West Craven got the W thanks in part to Malik Brown playing the best football he has all season. Brown rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If history really does repeat itself, Brown might just drop another big game when he faces off against Greene Central on Friday. When Brown last faced the Rams back in October of 2023, he rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards.
