The Northwood Chargers stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 100-49 victory over Graham. Northwood's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Northwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drake Powell, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Powell hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jake Leighton, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Graham lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Micah Woods, who scored 18 points. That was a full 36.7% of Graham's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jaylan Sinclair was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
The win (which was Northwood's sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points per game. As for Graham, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Northwood will head out on the road to take on Cummings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwood is coming into the contest with 16 straight wins on the road, meaning Cummings will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Graham, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Williams at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Williams presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Graham in North Carolina (Williams is ranked 286th, while Graham is ranked 627th).
