Valley Oak League recap December 3, 2013
Manteca moved up to 84 from 127 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Valley Oak League. The Buffaloes climbed the ranks as a result of topping Inderkum 45-36.
Manteca added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Tigers, 45-36. The victory was the 11th in a row for Eric Reis' team.
Sierra's Jake Pruitt and Lucas Widmer led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pruitt has thrown for 3,260 yards this season, while Widmer has 60 catches for 1,012 yards. The Buffaloes' Alex Laurel leads the league in rushing yards with 1,630.
Manteca led Valley Oak League in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on Inderkum. Laurel ran for 173 yards and caught 2 passes for 58 yards during the win.
