The Southwest Dragons waltzed into Friday's matchup with five straight wins but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southwest Legacy 34-7 at home. Southwest might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 27 points or more this season.
Southwest was led to victory by Timothy Olague and Aazeryuan Voss. Olague threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, while Voss picked up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
James Ross and Julian Garcia certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Ross rushed for 112 yards, while Garcia picked up 18 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Southwest's win was their third straight at home , which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.67 points. As for Southwest Legacy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Southwest will take on Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
