1. (Last week, 1) St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio), 16-1The Eagles posted their 12th straight victory, but were forced into overtime before nipping St. Ignatius (Cleveland) 73-70 before a capacity crowd.
Marsalis Hamilton led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds, while
Kipper Nichols contributed 19 points and eight rebounds.

2. (2) Curie (Chicago), 21-1The Condors won three times last week, twice in the first two rounds of the tough Chicago Public League City Tournament. Junior guard
Josh Stamps picked up a lot of slack when superstar
Cliff Alexander continued to face double- and triple-teaming. Stamps scored 24 points in a 76-59 victory over Kenwood (Chicago) and 29 during a 75-63 win over North Lawndale (Chicago). Meanwhile Alexander still averaged 21 points and 13 rebounds during the week.
Next: Sunday vs. four-time defending Class 4A state champion Simeon (Chicago) in the city quarterfinals at Chicago State.
3. (3) Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati), 17-1The Crusaders continued to play stifling defense as they shut down Wilmington (Ohio) 69-32 and LaSalle (Cincinnati) 40-33.
Grant Benzinger had 16 points and five assists against Wilmington.
Tre' Hawkins totaled 14 points, three steals and three assists in a very physical game against LaSalle.

4. (4) Lanphier (Springfield, Ill.), 23-0The Lions roared past Jacksonville (Ill.) 72-36 and Rochester (Ill.) 65-47 to remain unbeaten.

Jahlil Okafor had 18 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks during a 71-54 win over Schurz (Chicago) on Senior Day.
