After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Notus, Vision were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They secured a 37-31 W over North Star. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Vision also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Vision found their leader in underclassman Raelynn Nickel, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Nickel is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Gutierrez, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Vision's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for North Star, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vision will take on Liberty Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Charter's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so Vision's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for North Star, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Compass Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Compass Charter is ranked 140th, while North Star is ranked 150th).
