Norton is a perfect 10-0 against Ashland since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lancers will host the Clockers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Norton has four straight victories, Ashland has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Norton came out on top against Westwood on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Lancers took their contest against the Wolverines 8-3.

Liana Danubio was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on CeeCee Goodwin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Lucy Perachio also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Ashland and Bellingham had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Clockers fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 11-9 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Clockers have suffered since April 29, 2024.
Ruby Khazadian was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Herter, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Norton pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Ashland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Norton's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Lancers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Ashland, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Norton continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Norton's way against Ashland when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Norton made off with a 13-0 win. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Clockers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
