The Hicksville Aces's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 51-28 walloping at the hands of Montpelier. While losing is never fun, Hicksville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 689th, while Montpelier is ranked 244th).
Hicksville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kennedy Adams, who scored 13 points. Mckenna Rice was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Hicksville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Montpelier, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Hicksville will head out on the road to face off against Paulding at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Paulding focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Monday. As for Montpelier, they will be playing at home against Hilltop at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hilltop will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
