The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
 While Tuscarawas Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16,  25-22.

The  win  got Tuscarawas Valley back to even at 4-4. As for Sandy Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Looking ahead, Tuscarawas Valley will host Claymont  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Sandy Valley, they have already played their next match,  a  2-0  victory against Edison on the 6th.
