On Tuesday, Roanoke Catholic faced Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Roanoke Catholic Celtics took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys. One positive for the Celtics, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Jordan White was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy. White has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Adah Tuckwiller, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Roanoke Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roanoke Catholic will square off against North Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
