TAPPS Six-Man Division II District 4 (6 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
New Life Christian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to first in TAPPS Six-Man Division II District 4 (6 Man). The Eagles defeated River City Believers Academy 65-58 earlier in the week.
Lifegate Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Town East Christian, 70-22. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Hill Country Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Jeter threw for 188 and four touchdowns and Frank Linam had 98 yards receiving. On the ground Kyle Robbins chipped in 82 yards. Robbins helped Hill Country Christian's passing attack out by catching three balls for 93 yards.
The Rams' Jeter and Linam have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jeter has thrown for 297 yards this season, while Linam, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has four catches for 140 yards. Dante Johnson from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 299 yards.
Hill Country Christian took down Memorial Christian Academy 62-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jeter ran for 47 yards and caught one passes for 13 yards in the win.
