The Kerman Lions entered their tilt with the Golden West Trailblazers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Kerman made off with a 30-29 win over Golden West. This was payback for Kerman, who suffered a 51-30 loss the last time these two teams met.
Kerman's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adam Delgado, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown. Adrian Torres was another key contributor, throwing for 155 yards and a touchdown.
Several Trailblazers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Najera, who rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 58 yards and a touchdown on only three passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Garcia, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Kerman's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points per game. As for Golden West, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Kerman will head out on the road to face off against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Kennedy is ranked 299th, while Kerman is ranked 306th). Golden West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
