Malaki Cary Delivers Electric Performance Vs Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central
Starting off the list is Houston County's Malaki Cary, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Cary rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 88 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 60 yards.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's probably not too fond of Cary given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Cary saw the Tigers), he rushed for 187 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.

Surber Made His Presence Known in Mckenzie's 56-0 Win
McKenzie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Tate Surber. Surber turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 143 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 passes, while also rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
McKenzie's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Surber and McKenzie will challenge Houston County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Preston Mitchell and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Preston Mitchell's big game helped extend Houston County's winning streak to five on Friday. Mitchell was unstoppable, rushing for 162 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 133 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mitchell. When Mitchell last faced the Tigers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 218 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry.

Mcewen's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Jesse Ross
Thanks in part to Jesse Ross, McEwen said goodbye to their three-game losing streak. Ross did his part (and then some), rushing for 40 yards for the 'W'.
The win got McEwen back to even at 3-3. Ross and McEwen will be playing in front of their home fans against Waverly Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
