If the Girard College Cavaliers were riding high off their 45-23 takedown of the Foundation Collegiate Academy Wolves on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Girard College took a serious blow against Germantown Academy on Saturday, falling 73-23. Girard College was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-16.
Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antoine Seals, who scored 7 points. Seals scored a full 30.4% of Girard College's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Girard College now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Germantown Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Girard College will head out on the road to face off against International Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Germantown Academy, they will be playing at home against Friends Select at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
