The Bath County Wildcats lost against the Rowan County Vikings back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bath County was dealt a 65-30 defeat at the hands of Rowan County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bath County has scored all season.
Leading Rowan County to victory were Dashawn Watson and Brayden Mirus. Watson scored 13 points along with five steals, while Mirus scored 21 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Colby Wilburn, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Bath County has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Rowan County, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Bath County will head out on the road to square off against East Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rowan County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-35 victory vs. West Carter on the 10th.
