Brooks County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will face off against Rockmart in a playoff contest on Friday. Both of these red-hot teams will try to put the other on ice to keep their winning streaks alive.
Brooks County made easy work of Washington County last week and carried off a 42-14 victory. Omari Arnold went supernova for the Trojans as he rushed for 269 yards and five TDs on 19 carries. If you haven't heard Arnold's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in Brooks County's past four games. Not surprisingly, Arnold's sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
Meanwhile, Rockmart earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 24-7 win over Temple.
With both teams having displayed their playoff mettle, spectators can expect a high-quality game. Keep track of this and all the high school football postseason action on MaxPreps.com.
