The Valdosta Wildcats put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cook 87-49 on the road. With Valdosta ahead 55-25 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Valdosta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Holmes out in front who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Israel Jenrette, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Valdosta pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points per game. As for Cook, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Valdosta will be playing in front of their home fans against Tift County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cook, they will head out on the road to face off against Valdosta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
