The Cooper Jaguars extended their postseason success on Friday against the Highlands Bluebirds. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bluebirds 17-15. The victory was nothing new for Cooper as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Leading Cooper to victory were Cameron O'hara and Austin Alexander. O'hara threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns, while Alexander picked up 50 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The last time Cooper lost on the road was back back in September. Having now won six straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.7 points per game. As for Highlands, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2.
Cooper is on the road again on December 2nd and play against Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Bowling Green knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Cooper likes a good challenge. Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
