At the plate, Ashlynn Blackstone and Melinda Veller did most of the damage at the plate: Blackstone went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and two runs, while Veller scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Veller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reginae Porterfield, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
White Knoll kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 6-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Dutch Fork didn't have quite enough to beat Wando on Saturday and fell 3-1. The Silver Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lillie-Grace Moore put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Moore was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Moore wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Layla Peppers, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
White Knoll's record now sits at 8-5-1. As for Dutch Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
