The Wilmington Hurricane's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Batavia Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Wilmington suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 70-44 walloping at the hands of Goshen. Wilmington has not had much luck with Goshen recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Batavia suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Clinton-Massie by a score of 65-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Saturday (55), Batavia still had to take the loss.
Wilmington has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Batavia, they bumped their record down to 8-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Wilmington couldn't quite finish off Batavia in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 55-52. Can Wilmington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
