Even though the Odessa Bronchos scored an imposing 60 points on Thursday, the Eastlake Falcons still came out on top. Eastlake put the hurt on Odessa with a sharp 82-60 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eastlake.
Eastlake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Vargas, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Vargas' 13th in a row with at least ten points. Braeden Quigley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Eastlake's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Odessa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Plainview the next time they take the court. Eastlake will head out to face Plainview at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Odessa will host them at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
