The Rose Hill Christian Royals lost against the Bloomingdale Blazers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Rose Hill Christian took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloomingdale. While losing is never fun, Rose Hill Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 275th in Kentucky, while Bloomingdale is ranked 84th in West Virginia).
Leading Bloomingdale to victory were Sutton Roten and Marc Brown. Roten dropped a double-double on 19 points and 20 rebounds, while Brown scored 13 points along with seven assists. Roten hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Backus, who scored four points along with five steals and two blocks.
Rose Hill Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Bloomingdale, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rose Hill Christian will face off against Covenant at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bloomingdale, they will head out on the road to take on Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Calvary Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Monday.
