The Stringer Red Devils will square off against the Myrtle Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stringer will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.
Stringer is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Enterprise. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won 18 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Madilyn Graham was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaycee Holifield, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rylei Pickerell, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
Stringer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Enterprise only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Myrtle took on West Union on Friday. The Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since May 9, 2024.
Brooklyn Streich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.
At the plate, Ally Murphy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Thompson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Stringer pushed their record up to 25-3-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Myrtle, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stringer has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like Myrtle struggles in that department as they've averaged .531. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stringer might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Myrtle in their previous meeting back in May of 2021. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
