After flying high against the Alba-Golden Panthers on Tuesday, the Edgewood Bulldogs came back down to earth. Edgewood fell to Ford 49-43. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Edgewood came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Ford is ranked 464th).
Daxton Osment was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 19 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carson Scott, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Ford, they have yet to lose a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 5-2 record.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Pittsburg the next time they take the court. Ford will head out to face Pittsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Edgewood will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
