T.W. Andrews (High Point, N.C.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat
Washington (N.C.), 42-15, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a punt return touchdown by
Justin Lea in the first quarter, the Red Raiders led 20-9 at the half.
T.W. Andrews expanded its lead to 24 points entering the fourth quarter. TWA scored two times in the third, including once on a
Marquell Cartwright touchdown run.
With the win the High Point school extended its winning streak to 13 games. T.W. Andrews defeated Northside 21-14 last week.
The Red Raiders came into the game allowing 9.8 points per game. Washington's 15 points were well below their season average of 27.6 per game. Washington came in surrendering 14.1 points per game this season. WHS had a hard time against T.W. Andrews' offense, which entered the game scoring 41.1 points per game.
The loss comes after Washington defeated Currituck County 46-6 last week.
