Meanwhile, Nauset Regional couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They and Sharon were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered an agonizing 6-7 loss.
Monomoy's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Nauset Regional's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Monomoy can add another positive mark to their record or if Nauset Regional can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Monomoy's step.
