Even though the Buford Yellowjackets scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, the North Central Knights still came out on top. North Central walked away with a 75-65 win over Buford. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Central.
North Central was led to victory by Dylan Smith and Ethan Diles. Smith dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Diles almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Diles has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kash Bracey, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Buford still got an impressive performance from Aaron Morris, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 35.4% of Buford's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Crawford, who scored six points along with two steals.
North Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Buford, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-23.
North Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Mullins at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully North Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. Buford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
