The Antelope Valley Antelopes on the road again on Monday and play against the Palisades Dolphins at 3:30 p.m. on January 15th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Antelope Valley suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 last Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-42 loss at the hands of North. While losing is never fun, Antelope Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1102nd, while North is ranked 379th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kiwan Sims, who scored 12 points. Dylan Archie was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Palisades unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Village Christian, falling 93-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Antelope Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Palisades, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
