The Eastmark Firebirds will challenge the Walden Grove Red Wolves at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Eastmark will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Eastmark's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Combs with a sharp 16-0 win. Considering the Firebirds have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Andrea Fletcher made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Walden Grove was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against Sahuarita, falling 16-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Wolves in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.
Walden Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Gonzales, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Eastmark pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Walden Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eastmark hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. However, it's not like Walden Grove struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
