The Red Mountain Mountain Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Skyline 76-18 at home. Red Mountain has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 28 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macy Johnson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Payton Westra was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Red Mountain's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.33 points. As for Skyline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Mountain will take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline won't have much time to rest: their next game is against San Luis at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
