Baseball Recap: Vincennes Rivet's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Vincennes Rivet dropped their record down to 11-5 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 7-2 to the Northeast Dubois Jeeps. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 15-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Vincennes Rivet saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bracey Morron, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Northeast Dubois, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games.

On Northeast Dubois' side, Brycen Mroz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Beck, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vincennes Rivet will host Evansville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Dubois, they will take on South Spencer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Jeeps' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while the Rebels have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
