The Pickens Dragons lost to the West Hall Spartans on Friday, but The Pickens Dragons didn't allow the West Hall Spartans the same satisfaction on Friday. Pickens blew past West Hall 35-12. The result was nothing new for Pickens, who have now won three games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pickens to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Streicher, who rushed for eight yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 230 yards and a touchdown while completing 87.5% of his passes. Miguel Salto was another key contributor, rushing for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, West Hall still got an impressive performance from Elijiah Hayes, who rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Hayes' longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Pickens and nudges their season record down to 2-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for West Hall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Pickens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Hall is also done with their season.
