The Palmetto Ridge Bears lost against the Jupiter Warriors back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Palmetto Ridge fell just short of Jupiter by a score of 35-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Palmetto Ridge has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Palmetto Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Calven Charles. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. Charles hasn't dropped below two blocks for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Gomez, who scored eight points.
Palmetto Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Jupiter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Palmetto Ridge and John Carroll Catholic will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in John Carroll Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. Jupiter and Archbishop McCarthy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Archbishop McCarthy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jupiter in Florida (Archbishop McCarthy is ranked 33rd, while Jupiter is ranked 166th).
