The Minneola Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They snuck past Ingalls with a 52-47 win. That's another feather in the cap for Minneola, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Eli Lang was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played. Jesse Smith was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Ingalls still got an impressive performance from Breck Averhoff, who shot 4-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Layton Simon, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Minneola's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Ingalls, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
