The Honey Grove Warriors can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They breezed by Wolfe City on the road to the tune of 52-24. Given Honey Grove's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Wolfe City is ranked 1335th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Honey Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Wolfe City, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Honey Grove will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Celeste at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Celeste will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Wolfe City, they will head out on the road to take on Bland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
