After losing to the Rockwell Christian School Chargers the last time they met, the Victory Christian Cardinals decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Victory Christian snuck past Rockwell Christian School with a 51-47 victory on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Victory Christian.
Despite the loss, Rockwell Christian School saw an underclassman step up: Savannah Basinger scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Leepard, who scored 9 points.
Victory Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Rockwell Christian School, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian will face off against Shining Light Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockwell Christian School, they will head out on the road to face off against Victory Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
